Here are the steps on how you can apply for a senior citizen card online:

  1. Go to the website of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). 2. On the topmost part of the website, hover your mouse over the “Citizen’s Charter” tab then click on “Senior Citizens” from the drop-down menu that appears. 3. On the next page, scroll down to the section titled “Application Procedures” then click on “Senior Citizen ID Application Form” to download the form. 4. Print out the form then fill it out completely and legibly. 5. Once you have accomplished the form, submit it personally to the DSWD Field Office nearest you along with two (2) 1×1 ID pictures and any one (1) of the following documents:
  • Proof of age ( birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, driver’s license, SSS/GSIS ID, voter’s ID or other document issued by an official agency); or
  • Proof of income (Social Security System [SSS]/Government Service Insurance System [GSIS] pension stubs for those receiving a monthly pension from these agencies; Income Tax Return [ITR]); or
  • Proof of residency (barangay certificate). 6. You will be asked to pay a fee of Php 25 upon filing your application form. 7.. After paying the required fee, you will be given a claim stub indicating when you can claim your Senior Citizen ID card which is usually after fifteen (15) working days from date of filing. The name and signature of the social welfare officer as well as his/her office address and contact number will be indicated in the claim stub for follow-up purposes, if needed. That’s it!
